Q - What type of an organization is Pink Tie Friends?
A - We are a Not For Profit Public Charity with a 501(c)3 status. Our public charity allows us to accept donations from corporations as well as the private sector and they may in turn take advantage of tax credits for their support.

Q - What are the terms of service for your Board of Directors?
A - The terms of service are determined by the organization's bylaws

Q - Are there any paid employees?
A - Currently all of the individuals on our board and on our various committees are volunteering their time to our cause.

Q - How are the funds raised by donations distributed to patients in need?
A - Patients are referred to the Pink Tie Friends through the Breast Health Navigator Program at Martin Memorial Cancer Center. The Breast Health Navigator Program, a free program funded by a grant from the Susan G. Komen Foundation, is a valuable support system that guides patients through the resources available for therapy, testing and treatments. When all other financial resources for an uninsured / under-insured patient have been exhausted, the Breast Health Navigator Program contacts the Pink Tie Friends for assistance.
